• Position: Pediatric Medical Escort
• Location: New Orleans, LA
• Hours: Flexible Hours | Part Time | Full Time

The Position:

• Safely transport children enrolled in the PDHC transportation program.
• Assist with loading and unloading children from transport vehicles alongside a medical escort.
• Follow transportation schedules and complete all required documentation.
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks to ensure no belongings or children are left behind.
• Collaborate with the transport coordinator to troubleshoot transportation issues.
• Communicate with caregivers and families regarding transportation details.
• Respond to emergency situations during transport when requested.
• Maintain a positive, harmonious environment for the children and staff.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited vocational program for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Graduate Nurse.

• Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Paramedic, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Graduate Nurse, or Practical Nurse.

• Active registration with the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Registry or Direct Service Worker (DSW) Registry, with status in good standing and without restrictions.

• At least one year of documented experience providing care to infants, children, or medically fragile children, demonstrating the necessary skills and competency to meet the specific care needs of assigned children.

• Current certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) from a recognized provider.

• Minimum age of 18 years or older.
